NBC: See, with Comcast in charge everything's great! Oh wait...
NBC. Sigh. In this first new season with the Under Comcast Management sign displayed, their sked changes the least of any network, but oddly they add the most new shows. Their first order of business? Expand The Voice season premiere to three nights to interfere with the season premiere of Fox's The X Factor. That's all you've got? I don't think Revolution is going to cut it on Monday. Go On and The New Normal have a decent slot between The Voice Results and Parenthood, but one of those new sitcoms isn't going be around very long. Speaking of not around very long, I've declared Animal Practice DOA and Guys with Kids right behind it. Chicago Fire doesn't make me tingle, nor does midseason's Do No Harm.

Top all that off, they've got Rock Center with Brian Williams in the NBC Drama Pimp slot. That's right. A newsmagazine on the most lucrative night of the week, in a slot that was golden for 20+ years with Hill Street Blues, L.A. Law and ER. This is a huge tell on just how bad NBC's drama development is going. Thursday's comedy block is good, but not great. I choose to ignore that they renewed Whitney. I can only assume it's to stay in the Whitney Cummings business. Smash and The Biggest Loser return sometime in early 2013, assuming the whole Mayan end-of-the-world thing doesn't happen.

I hope they like fourth place, because they're not going anywhere.
