Six new shows bow on Wednesday to join one relocation and eight returning favorites. Fox Wednesday is The X Factor, literally. It wasn't as big of a hit as I predicted last year. I think it's somewhat due to talent show fatigue. CBS returns unchanged with the 3,295th edition of Survivor, followed by Criminal Minds and CSI. ABC adds the alien-sitcom The Neighbors between the returning The Middle and funny champion, Modern Family. Suburgatory leads into the all-new Nashville. The CW Wednesday is sci-fi land with the new Arrow followed by the eighth season of Supernatural. NBC starts the night in pain with the DOA Animal Practice followed by the breathing-assisted Guys with Kids. Law & Order: SVU hits season 14 and the new Chicago Fire ends the evening.

Lots of changes and lots of non-changes on Wednesday. With NBC's two new sitcoms, they seem to be the overall loser here. Right now it's a close race between ABC, CBS and Fox. The night's winner could depend on the success or failure of ABC's Nashville.
