ABC brings back five of its new shows from last season (two debuted in April). That alone is rather remarkable. Moving last year's hit,
Revenge, into the
Desperate Housewives slot is perfect, as is debuting
666 Park Avenue immediately thereafter. I have a feeling these shows are going to mesh very well together. Monday is unchanged and
Castle gained momentum last year. It's not unprecedented, but for a show to gain viewers during the back half of its fourth season is not a common occurrence.
Happy Endings and
Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23 make a nice comedy hour. They've got a full comedy block on Wednesday and its success hinges on aliens from Zabvron. I think they could have winner with
Nashville, then again, between Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere and my strong affinity for Country, I'm way biased. The last two hours of Thursday will be solid. Not so much for
Last Resort. Their Friday slate is perfectly fine.
Overall, the Alphabet is poised to repeat what it did last year. They had
Revenge as a buzzy hit. I think they'll have two of them with
666 Park Avenue and
Nashville. ABC is getting stronger.
