The early part of Friday is all kinds of flipped around. Everthing in the first hour is new to the timeslot or is completely new. Ah, the vagaries of scheduling. CW goes to college with Tyra for the 609th cycle of
America's Next Top Model which is followed by
Nikita. Fox moves
Touch to Friday and leaves
Fringe untouched for its final season (at least in this universe). ABC slides
Last Man Standing to Friday and adds Reba's
Malibu Country.
Shark Tank follows them and leads into
20/20.
CSI: NY made the cut (unlike
CSI: Miami) and starts the night for CBS. Newcomer
Made In Jersey actually pairs nicely in both content and demographic with
Blue Bloods. NBC didn't (mercifully) kill
Whitney, but moved her to start Friday. (An act of suicide?) Traditionally a non-family (think ABC's TGIF block of the 90s) sitcom doesn't really work on Friday, but it fits for the quirkiness of
Community. Surprise hit from last year,
Grimm, returns, as does
Dateline NBC.
The night's sort of a hodgepodge, but CBS gets the win.
