CBS Monday 1978: WKRP in Cincinnati, People, M*A*S*H, One Day at a Time, Lou Grant
Monday, aside from ABC, is jumbled all around. CBS pushes 2 Broke Girls into what I call the CBS Comedy Pimp slot of 9:00pm (previous residents include Two and a Half Men, Murphy Brown and M*A*S*H). They once again start the night with How I Met Your Mother now in its eighth season. The all-new Partners sits between them in arguably the best slot of any new show. Mike and Molly, followed by Hawaii Five-0 end the night. NBC brings The Voice back for its third run and follows it with the new Revolution. The CW does some shuffling and puts 90120 and Gossip Girl (now an hour later) on Monday. Fox kicks off the night with Bones leading into the all-new The Mob Doctor. ABC stands pat with the 394th edition of Dancing with the Stars (15th, actually) and Castle.

Much to my surprise, The Voice does give Dancing with the Stars a bit of a run for its money. The Voice might actually be the only thing (aside from football) saving NBCUniversalComcast's bacon at the moment. CBS has a solid comedy lineup, even if Five-0 has been losing ground to Castle. The CW takes the younger audience and doesn't really compete on the same level as the other four nets. The Mob Doctor is going to be scrounging for viewers as it's up against the second hours of both Dancing and Voice. Same deal for Revolution, which should benefit, at least at the start from a solid Voice audience.

The night is a toss up. I'd give a smidge of an edge to NBC simply because The Voice is newer than Dancing, but Castle was picking up steam last season and it's up against the new Revolution. Too close to call.
