→ Tuesday at 8pm is the most competitive slot all week. That's because even the netlet have quality programming. Odd man out for now seems to be NBC's new "In-Laws" and the tired "Just Shoot Me." NBC will come back with "Frasier" at 9pm with a month head start on "24," although "The Guardian" showed good strength last season. ABC's comedies on the whole look as good as NBC's. "NYPD Blue" saw a revitalizing ninth season and trades the slot with "Blue"-alum Amy Brennanman's "Judging Amy." It's also the strongest night for UPN and the WB. Expect the WB to continue to win that race, albeit by a slimmer margin. Hard to believe a few years ago this was an ABC powerhouse and CBS ran a movie. It's CBS' night to lose. |
