What I Say
Bonnie Sommerville is hot. Dennis Farina & Jean Smart are excellent. Unfortunately, I think the one-joke premise will get old. Fast.
My Analysis & Prediction
Could get a full season commitment since NBC co-owns with Kelsey Grammer's company (and Paramount). It seems like a very typical sitcom, but three of the four are proven actors and Elon Gold is a funny guy. It's in the most competitive slot on TV so that puts it as a serious disadvantage. Why would NBC make this a lead-in for seventh season "Just Shoot Me?"
What They Say
Newlyweds move in with her parents to save money while he's attending cooking school. Unfortunately, Dad is a bit overprotective of his baby girl and Mom is rocking the boat by leaving hearth and home to pursue a real estate license.

Newlywed Matt (Comedian Elon Gold, "The Dana Carvey Show"), with the support of his wife Alex (Bonnie Somerville, "Friends"), has quit his job to go to culinary school. But in order to make ends meet in the meantime, they've grudgingly moved in with Alex's parents, Victor (Dennis Farina, "Snatch") and Marlene (Jean Smart, "Frasier"). Since Marlene is caught up in her real estate job and Alex is busy working double shifts, Victor and Matt have plenty of "alone" time. Unfortunately, Matt is terrified of Victor and Victor isn't thrilled to have an "outsider" on his turf. Luckily, Matt and Victor have one thing in common that just might make this awkward situation work: their love for Alex.
