What I Say
"Flatliners" and "Ghost" meets "The Profiler." Viacom AND CBS Productions? Couldn't they just save on paperwork and combine? They are essentially the same company.
My Analysis & Prediction
Unless it loses more than 40% of the Buffy lead-in, it's going to be around for the whole year. UPN and CBS have too much interest here to cash out early, but there is a chance it could become this year's "Special Unit 2." The premise could lend it to be a younger cousin of "The X Files" Still haven't figured out why there isn't a female lead.
What They Say
A happily married cop's life is turned upside down when his son is kidnapped and never found. Four years later, he's divorced and working as a private detective when a near-death experience makes him begin receiving communications from lost souls beyond the grave.
tvguide.jpgAfter the kidnapping of his son and subsequent divorce from his wife, once-successful police detective Frank Taylor (Matthew Fox) has become a sullen private eye. His life is changed beyond belief when a near-death experience causes him to be haunted by otherworldly souls who help him solve cases.

HAUNTED puts a supernatural spin on the popular genre of private investigation, where crimes are solved with help from an inexplicable link between this world and the hereafter. Matthew Fox ("Party of Five") stars as private eye Frank Taylor, whose life changed forever after a near-death experience results in his being haunted by lost souls from beyond the grave who help him in solving a variety of cases. As Frank reluctantly accepts his heightened awareness, he evolves from an incredulous non-believer to an intrigued witness to the beyond.
