What I Say |
| For starters, shorten the title. Now. It could be funny, especially with John Ritter as co-lead with Katey Sagal...Jack Tripper as a dad and Peg Bundy as a "normal" mother. Gotta say, I'm intrigued. |
My Analysis & Prediction |
| Full season (partly Touchstone connection; partly they really can't afford to let it go). ABC needs any possible shred of anything -- they won't get a win here, but second place is not out of the question. Problem here is that this half-hour is in the most competitive hour of television in Prime Time. "JAG," "That 70s Show," the new "In-Laws," "Buffy" & "Gilmore Girls." This slot the _tough_ room, but it's realistically the only spot on ABC's sked for it. I expect it to be funny and to find an audience. This could gives ABC's Family Hour the kick off it needs. |
What They Say |
| Based on the best-selling book by W. Bruce Campbell, a father is blind-sided when his two sweet little girls turn into teenagers with hormones raging and a logic all their own. His only solace his is 13-year-old son whom he still manages to understand. |
| John Ritter stars as a dad who's in over his head when his teenage daughters start dating. |

| What happens to a loving, rational Dad when his darling, pliable daughters morph into hormonally-challenged, incomprehensible teenagers? If he's Paul Hennessy, he reacts in ways even he finds crazy. Thank God he has a 13-year-old son who still speaks his language. Based on the best-selling book by Bruce Cameron that has given solace and belly-laughs to parents across the country, this show finds comedy in real-life situations. Its distinct point-of-view will be familiar to countless fathers (and their bemused wives and offspring).
