NBC. Angela Bromstad, President
The Peacock's grand experiment of Leno at 10 didn't exactly work. Ok, that was being kind. It was a failure of epic proportions. As much as I'm not a fan of Jeff Zucker, I do have to give him kudos for trying. Of course, the way NBC handled the end of that was a textbook way of how not to handle things.

There's a tiny bit of promise on NBC this year. They rightfully stuck with last year's midseason Parenthood, which did fairly well. Their Thursday comedy block has three solid entries and if newcomer Outsourced can deliver, it really would be the first time since "Must See TV" died some years back, that NBC actually has a bonafide comedy night.

All of the new players on the Peacock grid are a crapshoot, with the exception of Law & Order: Los Angeles. As I mention elsewhere, Outlaw and The Apprentice need to swap slots.

It's going to take awhile to bring viewers back to the level of programming NBC used to deliver, but with the promotional platform of Sunday Night Football, they should be able to at least get viewers to sample some new programming. At least this season, it feels like they are trying.

Only Community and Parenthood remain from last year's new entries and overall, seven NBC shows are dead.

NBC: We're not as bad as we've been the last few years, but not nearly as good as we once were.
