Fox Friday 1994: M.A.N.T.I.S., The X-Files
Only three entries from last season remain: 20/20, Dateline NBC and Smallville. It's nice to see some actual effort to program Friday once again.

ABC starts the night with a Fox castoff from a few years back, rolls into Body of Proof and caps it off with the 31st season of 20/20. CBS has the tightest lineup of everyone with the addition of CSI: New York to the night. As mentioned elsewhere, Blue Bloods should swap with The Defenders. The CW will have no trouble at all with their sci-fi themed lineup. Fox's choice to bring back both Human Target and The Good Guys was a curious one. Can't call either of these First to Die since they are returning shows, I'd watch them both much sooner than later. NBC once again places a "feel good" show to start the night not taking into account it probably will hurt Outlaw. As mentioned elsewhere, Outlaw belongs on Thursday at 10.

CBS wins the night with second place up for grabs. CSI: New York is the night's winner.
