| Are we 'My,' 'MyNet' or 'My Network TV'? |
| Fox took many of their O&Os, which were former UPN affiliates, and launched a new network and a new idea. You'll read it elsewhere in here as well, but My (or MyNet or My Network TV) is about English-language telenovelas. Campy, melodramatic soaps that will run stripped (that's Monday-Friday) with recaps on Saturday for 13 weeks. It's not clear if the same shows return for the next 13 week cycle, if characters will be from the same universe, if any of the same actors will be on another show, etc. It's not the way American viewers plan their TV weeks, even with TiVo, but it's an experiment that bears watching. |
