"This is CBS," CBS local ID notification since forever.
Les Moonves is just strolling along and printing money. Things are looking very good for CBS. A solid schedule and the #1 scripted show makes life good at Black Rock. There's not much wrong with CBS.

Looking Back
The CBS Fall '02 schedule had seven new shows. Two are with us today and are big hits (CSI: Miami, Without A Trace). Four of the others never saw the next season. 2003 was significantly better off with five of the six newbies becoming hits; three are still on the schedule. Two steps back in 2004: only CSI: New York lived past Season 1. Last year was very good for CBS with four carryovers to this year. The Eye, more than the other networks, are doing something right: more hits than misses, more years than not.

2006-07
This year is one of the smallest launches in a very long time for CBS: only four new shows. Their sked is so strong that there's just no place (or need) for anything else. The question goes back to Thursday and the CSI/Grey's Anatomy showdown. Will the techs and cops at the Vegas Crime Lab be able to hold off the docs at Seattle Grace? Tune in.
