Cue the scary music. A slot on Friday night is slightly less of a death slot with DVR use, but one day, after I'm beyond psyched that I'm being paid to write a show, I'll still probably be less-than-thrilled if I was slotted on Fridays.
The night is a hodgepodge (I should really use that word more) for everyone. ABC goes with Supernanny to start things followed by the relocated (to die, sorry America) Ugly Betty and the forever young 20/20. The CW moves the ninth season of Smallville to Friday, which is actually fine since its fans will follow it anywhere. Just an encore of Top Model at 9. Fox starts with the all-new Brothers and the (no offense folks) why-is-this-still-on-the-air 'Til Death.
They round out their night with the surprisingly renewed Dollhouse. NBC moves the frakin' twentieth season of Law & Order to 8pm. Really, 8pm? The sort-of-new Southland chimes in before Leno at 9. CBS has a solid night with The Ghost Whisperer, NBC-spurned Medium and Numb3rs.
CBS takes the very strange night.
