What I Say |
| New stories? Old stories? Feels more like it should be first-run syndication. If the buzz is good but the show tanks, there's always a second-run deal that could be made...to say, UPN affiliates for a weekend block. |
My Analysis & Prediction |
| The Twilight Zone is one of television's most cherished programs but they'll only be minor interest: Wednesday 9pm has six head-to-head hour dramas. Since each week is self-contained, it'll vary week-to-week along with the guest stars. Depending on production values, it should prove somewhat cheaper to produce than a "standard" prime-time hour. |
What They Say |
| An update of the classic '60s supernatural anthology series that Rod Serling made famous. Each 60-minute episode will be a self-contained story. |
| A modern version of the classic series that takes different people into suspenseful and unfamiliar situations each week. |

| Honoring Rod Serling's profound legacy, this new version of the perennial favorite will envelop viewers in a world of fantasy and suspense. Hosted by award-winning actor Forest Whitaker ("Panic Room"), THE TWILIGHT ZONE comes into the 21st century in UPN's modernized incarnation. Each self-contained episode will feature known actors as ordinary people in beyond-extraordinary situations as they enter the sometimes frightening, often intriguing, but always suspenseful and surprising world of THE TWILIGHT ZONE.
