Give this gal some bones and she'll solve your crime. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is a forensic anthropologist and part-time crime novelist (the character's based on best-selling author Kathy Reichs). With help from fellow lab geniuses, she unearths evidence from even the most decomposed or damaged remains. FBI guy Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) often enlists her aid, although he's no fan of science-geek "squints. "Headstrong Dr. Brennan ("Don't call me Bones!") insists on joining Booth in the field, but she's a lot less adept with the living than the dead.

i opine...
"Bones" is a procedural that smells a LOT like "CSI on Fox." Boreanaz did well on "Buffy" and "Angel," but can he carry a show without vampires? If the cast jells, it'll do decently enough to make it to 2006 where it lands in the highly coveted post-"Idol" slot.
the breakdown
13+. There's some slot competition here, but nothing that'll prevent it from gaining an audience -- if folks want to see even more forensics.
