Hurricane Eve descends on a tropical Eden near the Florida Everglades, threatening a family (that include Eddie Cibrian and Lisa Sheridan) already torn apart by divorce. During the storm strange lights fall into the swamps, where spooky discoveries lurk. A conspiracy freak (Tyler Labine) thinks the hurricane is a cover for extraterrestrial activity. Is he onto something? Keep watching the skies - and the screen. abc.png

i opine...
ABC had to pull the hurricane references to the show due to Hurricane Katrina, which might actually pique curiosity for anyone that knows the premise. I'm a little concerned that TV's done it again: both NBC's "Surface," CBS' "Threshold," and "Invasion" seem to have had a similar path to the screen. Will that make the shows confusable? All that being said, it seems as if they've assembled a likable cast and mysterious premise. Combine that with Shaun Cassidy as creator/exec producer, this will make an interesting horse race on Wednesdays.
the breakdown
Something tells me it's not going to be a hit, I can't explain why even though it's got arguably the best lead-in of any new show: "Invasion" follows "Lost." Of course that's going to make ABC look hard at how much of the "Lost" audience it retains. The slot isn't an issue at all.
