What I Say |
| Another sketch comedy series? That might not be a bad thing. |
My Analysis & Prediction |
| Highly probable full season. I think Cedric is funnier than Bernie Mac even if their shows are different. Teamed up for Fox' 8p hour, brings them into an, um, "non-white" sitcom faceoff (new reality show?!?) with ABC. It's a competitive hour, but there's room for Cedric...and Fox owns this laffer. |
What They Say |
| Now there's two Original Kings of Comedy on FOX. Cedric pays homage to the comedy/variety shows of the 1950s, bringing to life such characters as the Love Doctor (a marriage therapist who's in love with his own sexy voice), Ray (a golf commentator with a case of the vaports) and Mrs. Cafeteria Lady (the judgmental woman serving your children their lunch). |
| A new variety series hosted by one of the Original Kings of Comedy, Cedric the Entertainer, will feature the comedian and a troupe of actors acting out skits each week. |

| Cedric The Entertainer hosts and performs in a new variety series that takes its cue from the big comedy variety shows of the 1950s. Cedric will preside over a team of actors, comedy performers and the Ced-sation dancers, delivering a fast-paced and laugh-out-loud-funny half-hour. Each week, we will see Cedric and his troupe portray a wide variety of characters, including the Love Doctor, a satin-robed marriage therapist in love with the sound of his own mellifluous voice; Raj, a golf commentator who literally can't stand the heat; Mrs. Cafeteria Lady, the judgemental woman behind the food counter with whom no student or teacher should mess; and Tanisha, the girl from around the way who injects lots of drama into Cedric's life. We also get to see Cedric get his groove on with the many talented women in the show. Cedric The Entertainer Presents is written and executive produced by Matt Wickline and John Bowman ("In Living Color," "Martin"), directed and executive produced by Stan Lathan ("Def Comedy Jam") and executive produced by Cedric The Entertainer.
