Television What I Say It's got the John Wells pedigree, which gives it a leg up. It's an "ER"-esque medical drama set in a San Francisco hospital. My Analysis & Prediction Full season, if only to nuture the Wells relationship with CBS. A medical drama with a team of doctors who break the rules in San Francisco. I'm not describing "Presido Med," it's "MDs," across the dial on ABC. These two and "Law & Order" are in the 10p slot. There's counterprogramming and incredibly myopic same programming: couldn't ABC and CBS not co-program the same slot?!? "Law & Order" is going to rule the night (and be Top 5). This and the other both will get confused and lost in the shuffle; The cast here is talented and well-known. What They Say It used to be Chicago, but now San Francisco seems to be place to practice medicine on TV these days. Like ABC's "Meds," [now "MDs"] this show is set in the city, but this has more of an "ER" set-up (which stands to reason considering it comes from John Wells) -- focusing on the personal lives of the staff just as much (if not more) as it does on the medicine. An ensemble cast including Blythe Danner, Dana Delany and Oded Fehr star as caring doctors in a San Francisco hospital. link PRESIDIO MED is a medical drama about a team of hard-working physicians who run a tight-knit medical group adjacent to a hospital in San Francisco. At a time when the world of medicine is becoming more impersonal, the doctors at Presidio Medical Group set bureaucracy aside and put their patients first, forming trusting, long-term relationships. They are Dr. Harriet Lanning (Blythe Danner), a veteran ob/gyn who still loves getting up in the middle of the night to deliver babies; Dr. Rae Brennan (Dana Delany), an oncologist with a passionate, adventurous side; Dr. Letty Jordan (Anna Deavere Smith), a headstrong, in-your-face cardiologist; Dr. Jackie Colette (Sasha Alexander), a brash young plastic surgeon; Dr. Jules Keating (Julianne Nicholson), a confident and fiercely independent pediatrician; Dr. Nicholas Kokoris (Oded Fehr), a surgeon who has just moved to San Francisco from Greece to join Presidio Med--and to hopefully continue an affair with one of the group's married physicians; and Dr. Matt Slingerland (Paul Blackthorne), a handsome renegade internist with a tendency to bend the rules. Although their personal beliefs, unique experiences and medical specialties are sometimes at odds, each of these professionals is committed to going beyond the examining table and connecting on a more personal level in support of their patients.
