concept from	What doesn't kill you makes you funnier. So we gather from Chris Rock's childhood memoir, which he narrates. It's set in 1982, when 13-year-old Chris (Tyler James Williams) moves into a tough Brooklyn neighborhood with his family: a younger brother (Tequan Richmond) who's taller and cooler, a manipulative kid sister (Imani Hakim) and hard-working parents (Tichina Arnold, Terry Crews) who watch his every move.

i opine...
	This was the show that got all the buzz from the upfronts back in May. It seems that it just might be justified. Of course, two years ago, "Joey," got huge raves for the pilot and well, that first season didn't really nail it. If this works (and I think it will) it's going to help change UPN.

the breakdown
	Full season. Thursday at 8 isn't what it used to be, but it's definitely not an easy slot -- in fact, it's probably the most competitive and highest quality slot of the week. The only comedy competition is "Joey." It'll do well.
