opinions
I like the concept: It's "Spider-Man" meets "D.A.R.Y.L." (an '80s flick where a teen boy is actually a robot). That doesn't mean anyone's going to watch. Some will be turned away by not having any idea what nanobots are.
The setup is familiar, but it's a good one nonetheless: After a freak accident, a computer geek (Gorham) develops superpowers, thanks this time to nanobots inside his body. He's now a weapon, and the government wants to build a special-ops team around him. The tone looks to be less than completely serious, which is a good thing; a show like this should be fun. It could make for a good companion to "Enterprise" -- but then, we thought the same thing last year about "The Twilight Zone."
my thoughts on "Jake 2.0"
Season, but reluctantly. It won't surprise anyone or do great, but they'll keep it on the sked until it goes quietly into the good night.
