opinions
Seems like a cross between "CSI: Old Cases" and a cop show. The twist is she's the only female cop in her squad and it's old cases that are being re-opened, re-investigated and presumably, solved. It should give the cast and guest stars some serious acting opportunities.
While it's not called "CSI: Philly" or "Without a Trace in the City of Brotherly Love," it might as well be. Containing the tradmark Bruckheimer Television high production values and storylines heavy on recreations and flashbacks, it should be easy to hit a comfort zone quickly. Philadelphia has the potential to be just as interesting a crime backdrop as New York, Miami, or Vegas. Morris looks prepared to lead a show, but the supporting cast is noticeable sparse. Hopefully as the show goes deeper into development a racially diverse group of background characters will develop.
my thoughts on "Cold Case"
Probable full season. It's got a great slot following "60 Minutes" and although Kathryn Morris isn't even half of Angela Lansbury's age, they'll be a following for that Sunday night mystery. It will get some competition from "American Dreams."
