What I Say
Feels familiar, like a slightly less dysfunctional "NewsRadio" in a TV station. Miami? Maybe Crockett & Tubbs will turn up. The setup seems to be Jeff Zucker's (NBC Entertainment prez) life: He's worked Miami and is the former exec producer of "Today"...Hmmm...
My Analysis & Prediction
Full season. Doesn't feel very fresh, but it could have some potential: I don't expect it to stink up the joint like a "Veronica's Closet" or (god-forbid) "Three Sisters". It's in what formerly was THE hammock position of Prime Time. Has a great lead-in with "Will & Grace", but is against the second half-hour of "CSI". From the producers (and studio) of "Will & Grace" a sweeps crossover could be already in the making.
What They Say
Jake, a hotshot young TV producer, takes the job of turning around the lowest rated morning show in the country after becoming besotted by a down-to-earth hairdresser. Like any good workplace comedies, his fellow employees are an eccentric bunch, including: an arrogant host, a self-centered co-host who's obsessed with her dog and an insecure station manager. Rounding out the bunch, is Jake's risque grandmother and a nun.

David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the creative forces behind the Emmy-winning "Will & Grace", have out-done themselves again with their newest Must See comedy. Mark Feuerstein ("What Women Want," "The West Wing") stars as Jake - a fiercely ambitious, hot TV producer, a guy who's all business with no time for a personal life. He makes the boldest leap of his career when he takes over the lowest-rated morning show in America. It means moving in with his grandly eccentric grandmother Claire, and commanding possibly the most dysfunctional production team in the history of broadcasting - but it also means working closer with the show's beautiful hairstylist, Dylan, with whom Jake is stunned to find himself instantly smitten. Jake could turn out to be the morning show's salvation. Then again, it just might be the other way around.
