What I Say
"Ally McBeal" times three with "The Practice" set in San Francisco; let's hope David Kelley is thinking more of the first two seasons of "Ally" when he's writing. Or has he gone to the well once too often?
My Analysis & Prediction
Full season, due to Kelley. Fox should consider it a success if it retains a signifigant portion the "Boston Public" aud. The law firm is simply a backdrop for the sex lives, I mean, personal lives of three good-looking women who just happen to be lawyers. It's got a good lead-in from "Boston Public," but up against Monday Night Football, reasonably successful "Third Watch" and Top 5 "Everybody Loves Raymond," there won't be many people left to find it.
What They Say
zap2it.jpgYes, they are attorneys, but this drama is all about relationships, centering on three 27-year-old women who've known each other since law school and now live together in the new hip TV city San Francisco.

This Fall, if you're not part of the club...Make your own. A new series from David E. Kelley, Emmy Award-winning creator of "The Practice" and "Boston Public" Mondays this Fall. Three young female attorneys are determined to make their mark on the justice system in girls club, the latest re-invention of the legal drama from David E. Kelley, creator of "Ally McBeal" and "The Practice." A relationship-driven series set in San Francisco, one of the world's most romantic and vibrant cities, girls club explores the personal and professional lives of three twenty-seven-year-olds -- best friends since law school -- who live together. Lynne Camden (Gretchen Mol), Jeannie Falls (Kathleen Robertson) and Sarah Mickle (Chyler Leigh) share a desire to achieve success and fulfillment in their lives, despite being employed by an "old boys club" law firm.
